Medallion

I finally received my Medallion background stamp.  I had been saving the Nouveau Chic Designer Series Paper for that special stamp and decided to use the Medallion background stamp with it.

I am not very happy with the way it is stamping.  I can't get it dark enough nor a clear dark image and I was using basic black.  I tried sanding the stamp, using the brayer to make sure the stamp was inked evenly, and setting the background stamp upside down and laying the card stock over it and then using the brayer over the card stock.  Nothing work!  Anyone had any luck with this background stamp?

I'll keep trying different things because I love this stamp and I don't want to give up on it.

Sunday starts the Late Night Royal Tour Blog Hop.  The blog hop tour starts at the Royal Tour Blog so be sure to bookmark that site.  Here's the link for the beginning of the tour.  I will be giving away some blog candy and all you have to do is leave a comment on my blog.  But this doesn't start until Sunday, 26 July 2009, so leave your comment then. The Tour itself is giving away a Big Shot to some lucky winner, so check out their blog for all the details.

    Hi Linda

I tried that but maybe I have to be a bit more aggressive with the sanding block. Worth giving it a try.

    Thanks for responding!

Hi. I just got one of these stamps and I didn’t have any problems. I did count 7 seconds while it was on the paper to give the ink time to “soak in” off the stamp, but mine stamped fine first time out of the box. I didn’t even sand it. Good luck with yours. It is a beautiful stamp.
