English Tea

Hi Stampers

Opener
I don't know why when I think of tea, I think of pink so I decided to make this card using the in-color Blushing Bride card stock and ribbon.  The stamp is from the Morning Cup Stamp Set.

The pattern paper is the In-Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  The ribbon is the Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon.  The layer with the scallops border was made using the new Bigz Die Scallop Squares Duo from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

TIP #1

After struggling to line up the 4 different stamps after I had stamped each one – I must have gone through several pieces of card stock, I decided to just mount them all on one block.  That way I could see the alignment and make adjustments as necessary.  DUH!  I had seen this done before but didn't pay much attention to it.  Try it it works!

TIP #2

Several of my customers have complained that they don't like the 1/2" stitched poly ribbon because it's too hard to work with.  What I find helps is to is run a piece of ribbon over a bone folder several times.  It seems to soften it -  makes it more supple or more manageable.

Thanks for stopping by today
